Light and Luminosity
Submissions are due by January 21, 2025
Opening Night will be held on
February 21, 2025In art luminosity refers to the illusion of light from within the painting. Not only does it organize a scene and define detail but it creates emotions while conveying a story.
For our February collaboration your art should explore the use of light and luminosity to create conditions in your paintings or three dimensional art that offer dynamic and/or ethereal expression.

Pathways and Portals
Submissions are due by June 6, 2025
Opening Night will be held on
June 20, 2025Portals are defined as gateways or entrances that connect one place to another often serving as a passageway between the here and now.
Pathways build a sense of texture, surface and depth. A pathway entry point lets the viewer meander through the painting.
For the June collaboration we ask you to use either portals or pathways to express our human existence as a constant journey through portals and passageways.

Metamorphosis
Dates to be announced
Metamorphic art is about visual transformation and may convey a deeper meaning than a literal experience. Use your art to express the intangible. Think beyond the literal to express emotions, concepts and experiences.Questions to spur your creativity:
What do you want to transform? An object, landscape or thought? What deeper meaning, complex idea or hidden message are you communicating from your perspective?
What happens when time is distorted?
What happens when using light and dark versions of an animal, person or object. Can you portray both good and evil in one image?
A bird can transform into a fish. What does this say about the interconnectedness of life forms?
A tree can reflect spring moving to autumn creating a sense of distorted time.
